It is a grey and cold August bank holiday. The central heating has been turned on. It feels like november.
Despite this we have donned our waterproofs and enjoyed a lovely weekend in Seaton. We have been overfed by Mum and Dad, and enjoyed local crab sandwiches and pasties. We walked to the bird hides on the Axe Estuary and spotted a kingfisher. My 200mm lens was not powerful enough to do it justice but, through the binoculars, we saw its deep red chest and turquoise back.
