On friday I went to a Lloyds Bank management event. It was pretty standard fare – going through current performance, the state of the market, the strategy etc. The only things to distinguish it from dozens of similar events that I have been to were:-
- The fact that the huge room in which we had lunch and beers afterwards was TURFED. Yes, fresh real grass layed down like a carpet. Apparently it was disposable (what a waste).
- The strategy game that we played for three hours in the afternoon. Grown up professionals acting like children – and I was getting payed for it!
Not a bad way to spend a Friday.
